Print-On-Demand Titles

Most British Standards are print-on-demand titles and as such are individually printed to order for each customer. Unfortunately we are unable to accept returns of these unless due to a misdelivery on our part. Non-returnable standards are cellophane wrapped and cardboard backed. Traditionally bound standards can be returned - please follow the instructions below within 28 days of your order being delivered:-

Easy Returns via Royal Mail

If you wish to return an order/item please contact, we will then issue you with a link to obtain a Royal Mail label to return your order.

You will need your order number and email address in order to complete the return. 

Follow the instructions to create your Return Label and then take your item to the post office. You will not be charged for creating this label but we will deduct the return postage cost from any refund due to you on receipt of your return (unless the return is due to our delivering the wrong or damaged item(s) in which case no charge will be made)

Over-sized Returns

If the item you are returning exceeds the Royal Mail standard sizes, please follow the alternative instructions below:-

  • CLICK HERE to email our Customer Service Team providing your order number, details of the item(s) you wish to return and the reason for the return.

  • We will email you with a returns authority by return.

  • Send the item(s) together with a copy of the original invoice and your returns authorisation letter within 28 days of the date of receipt to:-

Refund of Delivery Charges

In the unlikely event of us delivering the wrong or damaged item(s), we will refund the cost of us delivering to you if the goods are received back within 28 days of the date of receipt. If you are returning items for any other reason, we will not refund any delivery costs. If you are unable to use the Royal Mail Returns service above, we will only refund your reasonable return postage costs.

The item(s) must be packed carefully and in new condition. Professional Books Limited cannot accept, or be held responsible for, any damage incurred during the return. We strongly recommend that you insure the package to the value of the goods enclosed.

Refunding Your Money

Once the goods have been received back into our warehouse and the condition has been checked, we will issue a refund back to your card on the same day, less any postage recovery costs. Please note that these funds can take 7-10 days to show on your account. If you have paid by BACS or cheque, we will refund your money by cheque. Please let us know who the cheque should be payable to when returning your item(s)

Digital Products - PDF / Subscription / CD / DVD

Where you are ordering a PDF, digital subscription, CD or DVD or other digital product, you expressly consent to waiving your rights of cancellation under the Consumer Contracts Regulations. We will not accept returns or provide refunds for any digital products.
